I have done a 40km xc race on the Stinky .... I came 165 out of 230 , had fun , and smashed past the xc riders on the down bits.
Its a laugh, should get a bunch of us out on our bikes, I went to watch one of the races and the track looked cool.

the club would be interesting in running a DH race, but at present no DH race course that we can get a permit to use around Bendigo. So yes it is all XC at this stage.

Has anyone sought permission for the tracks at Maldon?
There is a bunch of us that ride there regularly that would be more than happy to help.

Not for Maldon, I gather it is on Mt Tarrengower? We have had discussions with Land managers about One tree hill and Mt Alexander, with a negative response. We run most of our XC events on private land, saves having to constantly be putting in permits and they have made it that you can only run events on "formed" tracks, eg fire roads.

Yes, Mt. Tarrengower.
We are heading out there today, some of the lads are doing maintenance this morning then we are shuttling.
I believe the ranger knows about the tracks.
