Hi Everybody!
Im new, but not really new to the scene. I used to ride an old Norco VPS1 round Bulli during 2001/2002 since then I sought of drifted off while I had a car.
But recently I picked up a near mint 2007 STP 0 for like $800. Only problem is I hate the colour.
First question to you all is.... how would I go about painting the bike.
IE: How would I sand it back what sort of paints should I use, ETC.
2nd Question!
I want to start riding some 4cross and Dual Slalom, any sort of mods you can recomend. The bike is dead stock.
First upgrade I am thinking of doing is ditching the Holy Rollers for some Maxxis Larsen TT.
Any words of advice or pointing of directions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Will

There is a whole Sticky dedicated to frame painting..
Did you search at all?

If your getting into 4x and DS, you might want to think about investing in some clip pedals,
Def ditch Holyrollers too.

You could send it off to gripsport, they'll sand it back and paint it up in any colour you choose, at a price of course; but it'd be your best bet if ya don't think your frame painting skills are up to scratch. Drop Grip a PM, he'll fill ya in.

Welcome TO Farkin.
Please read the rest of the thread next time. You would have discovered the link has been posted already.
Cloaked STP - if you are even slightly unsure about what colour to pick, the answer is simple - BLACK. :)

Well i was more thinking the Hot Pink like seen in the "How to Paint your Frame" Thread.
You see I have hot Pink TLD gloves and it would look sick.

See Now I have a problem... I just ordered a set of Da Bomb rims in Camo black/silver and somehow I dont think hot pink will go with that.
Looks like I will go Matt Black.
Now to find the time and balls to paint my bike....

I would suggest that if you are going to do 4X you could think about putting a chainguide on.

if your gunna lots of stuff to buy (and you've got a Credit card) then get it off chain reaction cycles its tonnes cheaper and postage isnt much....also consider ex712 over dabomb darim cause there strong and light...and thats what u want for a 4x bike

And don't buy a deity stem.
Seriously, NS Quark Pros in white absolutely kick ass compared to deitys.
Lighter, shorter and wayy, wayy cooler.

Moley, did a search on those rims and found no results. Who they made by.
Im thinking I might stick with the Rhyno Lights, there still good and true and I have been doing some hucks to flat on them.
Richo, I do like that stem.... What about the Deity bars? They any good.
Forgive me if I sound like a noob.

hey mate the rims are actualy Mavic 721, it was a typo.
the deitys are very good bars, light, strong and cool coloured. you may want to cut them down a tad though if you will be racing 4x alone.
