Hey guys I have an 08 stp2 that at the moment is pretty much stock except for the single speed and animal dark green grips.I had a vison of this bike being a dark chrome gold colour and have deity bars and stem, massive green linear cable and NS Legeatters. Has anyone got any opinions or suggestion on what i can do to better my vision

As I said Tim, all depends on how much money you are going to spend, if you don't really care just buy the best of the best, if you are on a budget then make a spec list of the things you can afford, and then ask if someone knows of a better product for roughly the same price.

I have an 08 STP 2, The DJ4's are fine for me.
It'll help if you told us what type of riding you do (e.g DJ)
I personally have used it as a downhill bike (becuase i've just started downhill racing and it was my start bike, and now im getting a dh bike) so i've changed the tires to Maxxis Minion DHF on front and Mobsters on back, and ive put JetBlack lock-on grips on.
If you tell what your budget and what your style is then it'd pobabally help :D
good luck :)

I have the same model Stp2 08.
recent upgrades I have performed are
Avid juicy 3 brakes,
Funn rippa stem
E13 STS with e13 36t Chain ring
Deore rear Derailuer
Race Face good N evil Grips
Deore 8 speed shifter (only)
Next on the adgenda is fox 32's vanilla 140mm trave forks.
The STP is an easy platform to upgrade and the race face ride Dh cranks
are solid and good quality as well as the raceface handlebars and the aheadset headset.
Dirt Jumper 4's are reasonably heavy weighing in at around 2.9kg(not 100% sure on that figure)
New fox forks are about 1.9kg so Its roughly 1kg in difference!

Would going all white at the front and white pedals be to much white. Im thinkin white deitys and white deity stem and white forks and the NS legeatter on top of that

grab some nice forks. pikes, goldies, argyles are the big boys is you got the money. wheelset is always a biggy to imprive. MTX rims are always a favourite and they come in chrome, for that lovely colour scheme of yours.

this is sum specs i would get
.dj2's cause the DJ1's are really heavy
.better derailers like X7, X9, X0 get a
.e-13 guard and runner on ( the e-lite is wicked)
.sun rims
.hydro's with straight line leavers or danger boy
