Just trying to get some opinions on different risers for dh racing and what are the advantages of bigger rise or smaller, both, money no option and value for money

You dont want them too high, usually people run 1'", sometimes 2" of rise. Protapers seem to be very popular, along with Deity, Easton make some nice ones (light too).

Low & Wide seems to be the trend...I don't ride DH (yet) but I can name most of the popular models...
Sunline V1 and from what I hear they're bringing out a wider version this year.
Race Face Diabolus are now coming in 1/2" rise with their new models
Easton has always been popular
Funn Fat Boy and other models probably all thanks to Sam Hill:)
Azonic B52
FSA Gravity Light
Answer Protaper
Truvativ Holzefeller / Hussefelt
Burgtec Ride Wide (pretty expensive but light for the size)
Syncros Bulk / Gain
SICusa
Deity
They all vary in rise / sweep so it's really a matter of finding one that's comfortable for you!
Not sure if it's true that Answer have a patent on the 8 n 4 sweep angles so others are just variations of that like 9 n 5 or 8 n 5 and also 9 n 4 in some cases.
That's a lot of good bars to choose from, and probably even more!
