as much as i would love to say come to me...dont come to me, i can help you out with roadie and triathlete stuff. and TREKS, lots of TREKS. but seriously the MTB industry in perth isn't the biggest, well compared to melbourne (where most of the suppliers are based) so your gonna have to look around a bit. i'll ask at work tomorow where all the DH/freeriders hang out, im only new to the indusrty but loving every bit of it. yes, including putting the rental bikes out in the rain at 8:00am every morning.

ps, also try PM'ing stinkyldan , he works at bike force myaree, on northlake road.

The Bicycle Entrepreneur on Stirling Highway in Nedlands has got some great gear and helpful staff. [(08) 9386 4621]
Also, just up the road, is Nedlands Cycle, which also has DH/FR gear. [(08) 9386 3432]

Yeah go check out Hi-Way Cycles they have some good DH bikes, (they also have some 2nd handers). They are actually on Albany Hwy (171), Vic Park, but yeah right near the Causeway.

The guys out at Wembley seem pretty helpful to "Fix Bikes" I think its called now on Cambridge Street (near the Wembley hotel :wink: ).

The Bicycle Entrepreneur has another shop in Belmont corner of Great Eastern Hwy and Belmont Ave.

umm yeah there is a few.

Oh there is a shop in Perth on Wellington Street, I forget the name of the place but its the only shop along that stretch. (In between the train station and "Entertainment Centre"). Not sure about all the bikes but they helped us out once by "lending" my mate a tube.

Extreme Cycles I think it's called Mahoney_007.
I use Cylerama in Cannington.

Try these,but don't judge the shop by their websites :)

As for the best place to get freeride magazines, I've found that the newsagents in Carousel shopping centre, closest to Coles. Another one is the newsagency in Dog Swamp Shopping Centre, in Joondanna.

Preferred mountainbike shops would be:

* Bicycle Entreprenaur Belmont (on Gt Eastern Hwy)
* Nedlands Cycle (Stirling Hwy)
* Hiway Cycles (Albany Hwy)

There's also Cyclerama on Charles St that do Rocky Mountains, but they tend to be more road orientated.

I'm pretty new to Perth as well withwings and have been around most of the shops to check things out. it's Hi-way Cycles for me as well. Top shop. BikeForce Malaga and Cyclerama Cannington are pretty good as well.

I haven't been to as many shops as you guys have, but the one I use when I need something fixed or parts for my bike is Xtreme Cycles in Queen street. Great guys in there.

I pretty much agree with everyones comments. MY shop is not very DH/FR oriented because we are a small suburban shop. Having said that we do have a small group of riders (some on this board) who have been buying stuff from us.

If you have any suspension queries talk to Jason @ BikeForce Malaga. He is a guru (used to work for MAnitou Australia) he serviced my forks and they felt like butter afterwards. Better than new.
