Gday,
Yeah Melb's is an alright place for that sort of stuff. You've got Camby (Camberwell) skate park which is pretty much where everything goes down...
As for trails, Croydon Hills, Heathmont, Diamond Creek and a few more...
Know where in Melb you're moving to?

Objective: Find trails and places to ride in Victoria for if and when I move there.
Supplementary Objective: Make some new friends in the scene to ride with, find the good shops through and have a few beers with.
Strategy: Become part of farkin's little community and make friends before I move to Australia.
Tactics: Post my bike up in post your ride and maybe chat to a few people who own the same bike. Maybe post a few pics of me riding my local trails, not too much, but enough to show that I contribute to the site. Involve myself in a few Off Topic conversations where I can see what sort of bloke I am and they can do the same with me. Lastly, keep an eye on the Watering Hole section, especially the Victoria sub-forum where people talk about where they are going to ride and who with.
I choose this strategy and range of tactics because it will be the best way to make a few friends to ride with, find where the best spots are and possibly even find the real juicy spots that are on the hush.
