I don't think there is any accomodation (Caravan parks or Motels) I don't think there is even an information centre in Lara, I think the closest would be either Geelong or Werribee. Three options in Geelong are:

Riverglen Holiday Park, (03) 52435505 75 Barrabool Rd Belmont,
City Southside Caravan Park, (03) 52433788 87 Barrabool Rd Belmont.
Corio Bay Motel 292 Princes Hwy Corio VIC 3214 (03) 5275 1489

Hey dh hucker..

Mate I live in Lara, and im pretty sure theres accomodation at the pub, around the back..

Theres a private car park around the back, but make sure your bikes are still fairly secured at night tho mate, ive had shit off my bikes knocked off around there like seats, front tyres etc.. Some people come thinking that Lara is a peacful little town and it wont happen.. It is a nice town but it happens everywhere mate as u probably know. What pisses me off is these kids pinch shit that they wont even use.. I mean what good is a 2.7 inch Minion on a BMX?? lol..

If not you can go 5 minutes further to Corio.. but you will have your whole car knocked off if you go there hahaha..

If you want my opinion mate theres the Town Keepers cottage in Lara, its situated at the foot of the You Yangs, on Oswald Ave, not sure of the prices, but its Bed and Breakfast joint, really really nice too they tell me. If you want to spend a little more then this would be the go i reckon.. Call them on 03 52821801

Enjoy,

Howie.

Stay in either Melbourne, Geelong or Werribee.

West side of Melbourne is like 20 minutes from the Youies. City centre is probably only 30 minutes.
Just look for cheap quality Accomodation. I recall Geelong has heaps of good places to stay.

Remember, it's freeway all the way from either Geelong or Melbourne.
