Ok.
So some of you may remember me posting my heap of Suger Honey Ice Tea. well. as of 2 nights ago, I decided that I want to get a new bmx, and that I will be an idiot with the one i got...

Project 'Omfg, why bother' has officially begun.

Original heap of crap: as follows.

Now, thats a Bully HotRod of about 1998 (when my brother first got it). He then handed it to me when i was 10 (2001). so after riding it 8 or so years, i want something better, and want to expeiment with skills i never touch...

So far so good: as follows.

Wow.. first time I had even touched a bmx down to this level of simplicity. as soon as the headset came off, ballberrings went flying left, right and center. after regathering my balls (lol), i took time to gently shed a tear for the first bike i ever owned...

Paint:
Hot pink and black are the flavours for this project.
Got a pretty good jist of what to do so far, Black frame, pink handlebars and forks...
But then dad came into the picture. Being a fitter and turner by trade, he likes to fark around... "Keep the forks chrome" he says... I like that idea, but dunno if i want the original chromeish look...

Farkers:
I want some thorghts to come out of this comunity about how to colour my beloved bike. Was looking at two tone handlebars????

Thanks fellas,
and just a bit of lol...
My seat post is HUGE!!!!!

well first off you'll need an etch primer to paint over the chrome, or else the paint wont stick.

i recently painted my Bully Bart (very similar to your hotrod) and it turned out better than i expected.. just please.. get a smaller sprocket :P

how much are you willing the spend on it?

absolutly crap all... yeah, i am gonna give it a lick of primer...
44T sprockets rock!, haha, i wanna keep it original as possible... i think dads taking the sprocket to work and hes gonna take a the rust and logo off it by machining it i think... should turn out good. haha

OKEY DOKEY!!!!,

Work has been getting the better of me, but today, i chucked a sicky and got my ass into gear... gave the bikes a big prep and wouldent you bloody know it, theres a HUGE ass crack in one of the chain stays. Went to dads work and welded the bastard back up. After that fiasco, I roughened the CRAP out of the chrome so i could get a good adhesive layer of undercoat on the Frame, Forks, and Hangers...

*Sun set before i could put 1. The black on the frame, 2. Clear coat everything.*

Pretty happy so far.. Dont think she will crack/flake too bad because i used this high quality paint for base and clear...

Done and Done...
C&C Please.. = )
