Well just got a specialized fatboy vegas for 50 dollars that im gonna add a few good bits and pieces too. would this be an ok bike for a beginner such as myself. i think old mate said it would be too heavy for racing but would be alright for others. any help or recommendation to do to it?

yea it well be alright for a beginner any bike is good for a beginner aleast your riding a bike.

fill it with helium and cross your fingers ?
those things are deadly heavy. but for 50 bucks why not if its your first bike

haha yeah well i didnt want to spends heaps then find out i bought the wrong bike anyway!! so in regards to parts ie, forks and such are they all interchangable??

Yes. All parts are interchangeable, but you have to watch out for steerer tube lengths bottom bracket stuff ect.

ah good stuff. is there anything i should be upgrading first? im after some wheels to, i see alot of people have odyssey wheels. whats the price tag on them?

Depends on what rim/hub,ect. But usually around $300 for ody lite rim and hazard hub.

ok well the bike i am able to get needs a new rear wheel but i am also talking to a guy about an eastern jane 07 model that i could get for about $320. what do you think guys? should i just get the eastern jane? the eastern jane is nearly brand new, only one scratch, is stock except for ringle pedals??
