Hey guys,

I recently bought some hayes 9's off my mate and the front one is great, but the rear is just a pain in the ass, When we tried putting it on we found that the pistons werent retracting enough, making it next to impossible to even get the damn brake onto the rotor, So we thought that they would just need a bleed, Gave em a bleed today and the pistons are still to far out, still near impossible to even get the brakes onto the disc,

Im open to any suggestions!

Thanks,
Josh

Hi i have got the same brake and my back brack the pistons broke today and i took it to the bike shop got it fixed and it happened agian  but it happens

I would try getting a flat head screwdriver and putting it behind the brake pad and levering the pad out forward as far as it goes on both sides carefully and then make sure there is no dirt behind the pads restricting it from coming out fully if s revove the dirt also spray some water in there while your at it. Then push the pads back as far as they go with a pointy nosed set of pliers its happend to me before might be a problem with hayes nine not sure but hope it works for you it worked for me :D
