Hey,

I'm just wondering if anyone has any opinions on this bike?

I ride park on my STP and i find it a bit too big, so was thinking of a bmx, but i donno i just can't ride them confidently. I feel like i'm riding the bike i had when i was 8yo so i figured what about a 24incher.

I'd sell my STP and do some upgrades with the extra's.

What does everyone think.

I haven't been able to find much ( YES i have searched! ) they don't seem to be terribly popular but from what i've found they seem to be an alright intro bmx style bike.

Any opinions would be sweet.

Cheers

Nick

just buy a bmx bike. I'm sure you'll also find a 24" too big at a skatepark. BMX's may feel weird now, but give it time and you'll never go back to a mountain bike.

Thanks for your help..

Although i'd still like more opinions on the bike.. Not like; "it's cr*p get a 20incher sorta stuff"

More Opinions on the bike from people who've ridden one.

Its a cruiser its never going to ride anything like a real bmx could. its for cruising not riding at a skate park.

Thanks again for your input.. but mate, i DO NOT want a 20incher. Also have you ridden the Eastern?

I'm asking for input from those who have, and possibly any 24inch alternatives!

Cheers

hey man we have had one in at work they ok but nothing like a bmx but i think from wat i see you have wrote is that a mtb is to big a 24 eastern would be a real good starting point and build it up over time they feel like they have a really steep head angle other than that it felt fun to ride

well of coure if you post in the bmx forum, people are gunna say "get a 20inch their much better" because its nothing but the truth.
the 24 still wont be good for park because its still nearly the same size as an average stp.
go 20.

Eastern Nighttrain or thunderbird if they have it in 24"?
Or just get 24" rims for your STP.

just get an ns sub 24" frame and get the rns forks (rigid) and 3" rise bars and some profiles or demolition cranks and 24" wheels and bam you have your very own 24" bike way better then bying the eastern 24 they are not really made for street and park riding.

I was thinking about doing that as well, but a few questions, where can you buy rigid forks, i can only find 20inch ones. Also what is the cost of the full build?

BB, forks, bars, headset, stem, brakes, seatpost, seat, cranks, sprockets, etc etc

It wouldn't be cheap.

If i could get a full build for no more than 700 that'd be sweet but i know i'm dreaming with a price like that.

I have just moved from 24in mtb to bmx. i know you have said that you dont want 20in, but one of my freinds has a dmr transition cruiser, and while it is an ok bike it is heavy, expensive, hard to spin and nearly as unforgiving as a bmx.

Wnen i went from mtb to bmx i had the same problem as you, they felt weird. i got an eastern jane with a long frame which felt much better and so far i think it is awesome for park, but is realy hard to jump.

so if you do mainly park, look into the bmx more, but if you spend most of your time doing dj the cruiser might be a better choice.

Mate, I was in the same boat coming from Motorbikes, to MTB, and then BMX rather quickly. 1st go on a BMX I pulled out a trick that was hard on MTB. It feels horrible riding 20" at first, but trust us when we all say it. Get a proper BMX, the difference is HUGE. I'm 6ft, long limbed, lean, 80kg and have gone down in frame size for my 2nd bike.

What felt like a ridiculous clown bike originally, now feels roomy and comfortable. Just takes a little getting used to, but there is a very good reason why so many people ride 20", and why it so varied and progressive....

24", 26", same stuff really mate, bot a LOT bigger than 20". How much difference do you really think 2" wheel size will make?

I agree. in my opinion If you're riding park, 24" is not much different than 26" (I've tried for myself). You might try a BMX and be put off by it because it feels different, but if you give it a chance you won't regret 20".

Hey,

Thought i'd let you guys know that i'm going to buy a NS Holy 24, as soon as i sell my STP. Last week or so i've been riding my mates bmx for quite a while, and just didn't like it. One day i'll probably get one, just not now.

Thanks for your input
