Bashing becoming more frequent

well, its happened again. this time at my school. two of my good mates were attacked by a 16 year old drop out and his 18 year old mate. all because of what they said to some kid.

first thing is what drives a person 3/4 years older than someone to walk up to them and start beating them senseless.

second is, why dont people fight there own fight instead of getting other people to do it for them.

third is what is going to happen to these kids, (the bashers). will they face charges of assult? and i know the 18 year old will be tried as an adult, but the 16 year old. who is a drop out from what ive been told, is it possible for him to be tried as an adult or wil he be tried as a junior?

has this happened to anybody on here before, and what are your thoughts on things like this?

Yes, bashings can happen unprovoked*, but a vast majority of them are in some way started by something. Physical violence in any form against someone who is unwilling to fight back disgusts me.

*I've had a few close calls -

One completely unprovoked attempt was an attempted bike theft at the pioneer park skatey by a bunch of lowlifes (anyone who knows the area will know what I'm talking about) but when I was surrounded by a bunch of them I swung at one of them first, and rode like I've never ridden before. Fast.

Another close call was pointing out some guy's pants to one of my mates (it was hilarious because they were of the shiny "fubu" variety and were so low you could see the majority of his boxers - and he was constantly grabbing them when they threatened to fall down...) well, apparently the bloke didn't like people pointing at his trousers. If there wasn't a deputy (principal... not sherrif ;) ) walking by at the time it probably would have culminated in a bit of a fisticuff.

What will happen depends on if your mates decide to press charges and if there willing to go to court etc. Some people are just dickheads, thats the way it is. Usuallly they will only go into fights if they know that they are at the advantage (ie. bigger or with a bunch of freinds). I can't really explain why people want to start fights any better.

well. it was one mate had an "argument" with this kid and some things were said. i dont know what. but what strikes me as odd, is that he has gotten so pissed off at something as simple as calling someone a "wanker" or something liek that. and driven him to such lengths that he has gotten two of his drop kick mates to bash a kid in one case 2 years younger and in the other case 4 years. the other mate of mine got involed cause he sore some douches attacking his mates, and he wasnt going to stand by and watch it all happen. im not sure if they will press charges against the "bashers".

i am sort of involved in a situation like this at the moment. a close friend was attacked by a very large bunch of people, used a weapon to eliminate the threat long enough to get away, now even more people are coming after him. the people who go round starting fights unfortunately know way to many people who enjoy the same hobby.

Your assertions regarding legal proceedings seem true, I would think a 16 year old would indeed be prosecuted as a minor, if charges are laid and there is sufficient evidence.

well i dunno about your situation, but a while ago one of the bmxers around here owed me some money, and promise promise promise but no payment. so i asked him again, and then i was at the skate park and all the bmxers started beeing retarded (our word for acting like dicks), and goin "oh rohan needs his money" "come get it" "fight for it" i just ignored them. a few of them pushed me around but when i didnt do anything back they kinda got bored, then as we were leaving they started pushing me around again as i was putting my bike on th ute, and hitting me, not hard but enough that it hurt.

mitch (the gorrilla looking guy) jumped on his car and backed out, and his rear view mirror hit me, unfortunantly for him it broke off... so he jumped out and picked me up and threw me onto my back (note, wear your helmet if you get in a dispute) then kicked me a few times, one of the other guys swung a jimmy bar at me but i grabed his wrist and then the bar and got it off him, then we got out of there.

next time i was riding they acted like nothing had happend...:confused:
