For the first time since Fort William, Graves didn't get taken out in the final and went on to take the win. Graves the fastest of an entirely Aussie male podium. Young Sam Willoughby (Jared minime) got second place on his first outing on a 26 inch. The 16 year old junior BMX world champion gave us a good look at things to come.

Anyone seen any footage of the 1st Womens Semi Final (my one), just trying to see my crash. Thanks.

Hey,

Got a big cut in my knee down to the bone, got some stiches. Just had an xray and no broken bones. Dislocated my patella but it went straight back. Doctor said that ligaments are streched but should be all good in a few weeks and back on the bike. Just in a bit of discomfort at the moment and broken hearted.... but all good.

Now that Randal and I are both broken we look very funny. Him with a sling for his shoulder in me in a leg brace and on crutches... hehehe:o

Glad to hear you're both gonna bounce back. The injuries must make for good conversation whenever you go anywhere as a couple.

To be honest (and forgive my ignorance here), my mates and I hadn't heard of you till we got to Canberra and started watching the training. You were 'tall blond chick' until we saw your name in the qualifying and that you were an Aussie. from that point you pretty much had an additional 4 people in your fan club. We were sad to see you crash, but I guess the end result was good with Caroline and Jared taking the wins.

Good luck once you're "wheels on ground" again.

Hey Thanks,
It was really great that we could keep the win between the Aussies. Mind you I didn't see any of the racing, it had to get told to me as I laid on the ground behind some barriers waiting for the ambos. So I've been watching all the footage on freecaster. Anyway, see you round... where are you from?
