I got this link from NSMB.com (thanks guys!) forums, and I have to say, it's the most amazing site.
http://www.gutsploder.net
This person meticulously mapped, photographed and even took GPS coordinates of most of the north shore of Vancouver. Choose a riding area, choose a trail, and you can do a visual tour of the trail through it's major stunts and sections.
For all those people who want to know and see what the SOURCE (and ORIGIN) looks like, this is probably the best way to do a tour of it, short of flying to Vancouver, or getting a library of helmet-cam videos of each of the trails.
My first ever time riding the North Shore was on Mt Fromme (the birthplace of all the rest of the "north shore" style trails), and the first trail ever was Upper Oilcan to Ladies Only to Lower Ladies (which were the first of this style of trail). Sniff... the memories...
I was pretty lucky. My best buddy from school days, who lives at the bottom of Fromme (on Doran Rd... only 3 km from the trails! Bastard!) was my tour guide.
Anyway, enough of my yappin'.
Check it the site!
Thanks Techno!
That is truly freakin amazing...all those trails...bastards!

The trails in Canada are amazing so well built and mostly with trees found on the ground, not quite like our gum trees. There must be some great crashes especially with some of the gap jumps on the shore sections.
We could take a leaf out of there book and look at building trails taking the bush into consideration, I am pretty bumed when I see a poor atempt in building a shore section in a place where you dont need it (take some of the shore sections at Red Hill) and there broken and just littering the trails. We are going to remove the crap ones from red hill and improve the good ones that are still standing.

the NS stuff is built in canada because the terrain mostly calls for it.
Here it is a different story. Sure a stunt or 2 in a track, when well made is a shitload of fun but we have great natural terrain that there is no need to go building entire NS trails (of course there are going to be afew isolated areas where it is more suited.)
All I'm saying is don't go down to your local (or international(wave that flag)) trails and start building stuff (even if it is good quality) without taking into consideration the questions: is it needed? Do a majority of the riders want it? Is it rideable (or b-lines) for those who just don't want to/are unable to ride it?
All that aside that site truely does kick ass!

That is an amazing site. Are they national parks where it's legal? There is so much work that goes into them, who does it all? I'm tipping there'd be some sickening stacks!
Xlnt stuff!
