One thing I've gotta do when I'm over here in the Southern hemisphere is go heli-biking in NZ.
Does anyone know would be best for a big all day flowing singletrack downhill heli-biking trip (thinking of the Passportes du Soliel but with helicopters instead of ski lifts)?
Seen a few websites but don't want to plump for something based upon sales guff web speak.

You've probably already seen this one but I'll post it anyway.

I haven't ridden with them as I was being a bit of a tightarse at the time, but all reports say they are pretty good. Definately having a go next time I'm over there for sure.:o
I went Heli biking in the Pisa Ranges near Wanaka a couple of years ago. It was awesome as you would expect.
Here is a thread with pics & details:

Cheers for that. I saw the Fat Tyre website but looking at the thread you suggested seems to say that the riding at Fat Tyre was pretty tame, which is a bit disappointing.
Has anyone else been out with them and how much singletrack is there?

I have done the fattyres Helibike about 5 years ago from Queenstown, we were flown to the Remarkables, It was ok not very techy but still fun we took our own bikes which wasnt a problem. The tour was very well run & the guides were very proffesional. Overall a good days riding.
