Cool setup Dom. How much those forks set you back and where from? They look awesome. The armour still rocking or what?
free schwag??
haha free schwag .. as in free gear from Manitou .. i tried to make it look like they sent the forks to me free for review on the site .. read down the post haha.
Yeah the Sherman's put a dent in my wallet .. but i got a good deal from Gav Finlay. I wont say what i got them for cause i dont want people hassling Gav .. but around the 1k Mark for those suckers.
They feel awesome im going off road with them saturday .. so ill see how they go. They look hella Tough though - like Mr T.
The Armors kick ass , Ty's got a complete set on the Boybike .. hes going to review them as hes the Parts geek. ill have some input .. but ive been nothing but stoked with mine .. they worked as soon as we put them on ... and they havent stopped since. at $414 a complete set .. id choose them over Mech's .. they rule for an entry level dher like myself anyway on a budget.

But MR.T is gay. Eddie Murphy said so.
Bike looks good Dom, i'd say pretty close to the perfect do-it-all machine. Thats only a 5" sherman right ???
correcto, 6 in the rear and 5 in the front.
hahah Mr T would crush Eddie .. but yeah his Mr T jokes were really funny. come over here boyyyy .. and .. haha

schweeeeet http://bb.nsmb.com/newforum/images/smilies/toke.gif
all i would change is the guide/cranks/bb to the mrp bonez combo http://bb.nsmb.com/newforum/images/smilies/greedy.gif
i have to agree on the Cranks and BB , they are creaking like shit .. and are tweaked and this and that .. $100 though originally .. so theve done me well .. although Ty Donated a spare left hand side crank when I bent the other one.
However I disagree about the Chain Guide .. i know it's not the best available .. but i have had no problems with it .. at all ... it's easy to install .. very simple design .. and extremely effective... Ty had the double roller version and it was kinda dodgey .. but i have had no problems with it .. and i used to run it on a Hardtaill .. so it pulled it's weight.
$150 chain guide .. cheap but it goes hard.

hey DOM what the tire clearance like on the fork? would it fit a maxxis minion 2.7?
I run a Maxxis mobster 2.7 on the front .. so maybe .. there is quite a bit of clearance i beleive .. havent looked though. But id say yep.

What's the Fox shock like on the Stinky?
Can you adjust it much apart from the preload?

which chainguide is it Dom? i need one for my stinky.
It's an Truvativ DH 2 guide .. cheap $150 thing but works well for me anyway.
Umm yeah the Fox shox has Rebound i think ... Ty has played with it .. but i havent as yet .. i think i might speed it up though as it's fairly slow at the moment. It's a basic Wind up Wind Down thing .. not alot of Adjustability in that model. But does the job.
the fox vanilla RL has rebound and lock out, fox ship the fork with 3 dfferent springs and you can change the oil weight if the rebound adjuster can't get as high or low as you would like, keep in mind this also changes the compression dampening. the RLC has compression dampening and a lock out blow off setting.
(see the front page for a full review)
the Sherman flicks that dom has on his stinky has preload, rebound and a external travel adjustment for climbing
Ty ... we talking Rear Shock Brother
I think he means the REAR shock Ty...
ahh ok
it probably just me but i relate to fox shoxs as forks, sorry for my narrow minded hardtailness.

Gravedig muchly?? Fucking idiot, you can't just dig out a post that's 5 fucking years old and say "ooooo i want one of those". Check the dates of the threads before you post in em buddy, it'll also save you alot of hassles with the mods/admins of the site.
