Port Douglas Riding?

Well i'm going up for a holiday in palm cove for 2 days and port douglas for 8 days and we're leaving on thursday.

And I was wondering what the riding scene is like in port douglas, if any?
Any skate parks, dirt jumps, dh etc... ?
And is there any decent bike hire available?
And any one on farkin living in or near port douglas that would like to hook up for a sesh? :p

Hokai, Bike hire in Port Douglas, BZZZZZT. There are some tracks and stuff up there i believe but the Port Crew will have to help you out, If you were in Cairns longer then I would be more than keen for a ride.

I was up there last week. didn't ride though. one shop i looked at had reasonable norco XC duallies for hire at a reasonable price. there are 2 shops, this was the shop not in the main street. the people in the shop in the main street seemed very helpful but i didn't check with them on prices or bike types.

I picked up a card of a bloke who organises shuttles (at a price of about $40 i think) to the top of a hill outside port douglas. not much info on the card but the number 0419 789789. Give him a call, might be good source of info.

I didn't get organised as I was quite happy to sit down, drink beer, and enjoy the heat. I think you should be able to sort out a good ride.

hey im from port im planning on going ridin this weeknd at a little spot we have with some jumps and northshore stuff like that we normally go riding every second afternoon theres is a bike hire in port but i tihnk the best bike u could hire out would be a norco fluid LT

Hey sorry about a late reply but I don't usually check the watering hole. I am more than keen for a ride we got some nice track as joe brown said above. PM me and I will get a crew together to meet there. What are you riding and how old are you ect. The only bike hire I know is Port Douglas one but I am not sure if they will have something to suit your needs. If you have a bike overhere that would be the best option otherwise if your loaded buy one for the week:p anyway hit me back and we will get it sorted.
