Errr...
Just went on this afternoon, everyone was blocked. So I logged out then back in again and all my contacts have been deleted. about 400 contacts that have been collected over about 7 years. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm assuming this is some fucking sapammer son of a fucking bitch. Apparently I sent an email saying to shop at www.exdil.com
Can anyone help me?

I've also been experiencing some issues RE: recieving messages. I don't get half the farking convo. :(
Mine fucks up sometimes and doesn't let me send messages.

I've heard these new mobile phone thingamees allow you to talk anywhere to anyone. I reckon they'll be popular;)

I'm not to worried about my Australian contacts, more so my friends from England. They're not the easiest people to get in contact with.

You probably all know this but NEVER click on those links that people send you saying like "(omg you look so hot in this pic www.(thensomewebsite).com/(your email address)) and also "Check out this Block checker, it really works! "(www.(website).com.
Yeah never go on any website link your mates send you as soon as you log in (Which is when it normally happens) always ask them first.
The same thing happened to me with all my contacts gone. Lucky I backed them up on my computer, which you go the link 'Contacts', then 'save instant messaging contacts' then yeah save it somewhere?!

That sucks dude, glad to know you got them back. It wouldn't have been an issue if the dude who hacked it didn't block all my contacts. Atleast they could contact me and I could add them again. I honestly wouldn't have cared at all if they just sent the emails from my address and left it at that. There is no trace that they sent an email from my account either. There is nothing from the outbox/sent items folder.

Also have you tried going onto your hotmail inbox? (Or watever other email program you use) and seen if all your contacts are there still?

Yeah, try going to "Contacts" on your email page - I've got hundreds of contacts in that that I don't even have on my MSN!

400 contacts? Sounds like someone has done you a favour.
The only way of getting back email addresses I can think of is by going into My Documents > My Received Files > Folder labeled with your email address and re-adding contacts manually.
This of course would only be an option if you saved your msn convo's.

Yeah, spammers, they get into your email account, and put a message in sent to all your contacts as soon as others sign-in.
Usually trying to infect the other computer with the virus.
It will usually come up with a message similiar to this:
Check out this pic on photobucket: (here would be the link)
Whatever you do, DON'T CLICK THE LINK! THE VIRUS WILL BE SENT TO YOUR COMPUTER!
On another note, Plowmeister, I can't explain the loss of 400+ plus contacts, unless somone has figured out a way to get into your MSN and thought it would be funny to delete 'em all! :rolleyes:

You're missing the whole point though dude. I didn't click on any dodgy links like that. I doubt that someone hacked into my account and blocked/deleted all of my contacts without leaving the slightest trace. Have you any idea how long it would take to block every contact let alone delete them. I'm assuming someone got a form and fucked me over like Ross' and Matt. Because they're dicks with nothing better to do.

i blame microsoft. Since LIVE its gone to shit- constant issues doesnt stay signed in for alot of people, sometimes wont sign in- appear offline doesnt work these days. Too many accessories and crap and not enough refinement on keeping it running smoothly. Cam's freeze alot more ( use dif program its fine) etc

the .au for some reason signs in and doesn't retrieve contacts. just .com does.

msn main window>tools> options>privacy>right click person you want to add from the two lists> add to contacts
its a slow job,but better then having to get all your contacts again...
