I hope it doesn't flash up your SMS's when a new one is received though. That is what stopped me from continuing the use of my phone (gf at the time didn't like my friends SMS'ing me...)

More competition should improve the iPhone, too.

HTC already offer phones like that, but with the Google name behind them it should have some serious clout and if successful, add real strength to their brand image. Check their site for some interesting phones.

HTC make pretty good handsets, great PDA's crappy phones. This is just another of their offerings.

They use to make the iMate fones, but they was a pretty big debarkle there, now they make and brand their own.
I am currently using the TyTNII pro (until my iPhone gets here tomorrow) and we have the Touch Dual and Touch Diamond, the Diamond rocks, by far their best offering to date.
The Touch Pro looks the goods though. Same as the Diamond yet with a slide out keyboard. The new TouchFlo 3D works as well as the iPhones Touch/Scroll software.

Its made by HTC, so thats a bonus! But looks big and thick.. love how slim the iphone 3g is!

It's a brick, alright. But promising, more than HTC's hardware, is Android - the first open-source OS for phones (not PDA software, but a similar approach).

Apple just thinks their too fucking cool for skool.
imo the usability is shit unless you need them for something specific, I hate all their marketing strategies and that wanker of a dickhead in the ad 'Hi Im a Mac, Im so cool bla bla blah' ipods are shit, other types of mp3s shit all over them, the only redeeming feature is the stupid cutesy looks and the fact that they come in white (who gives a shit) and have a stupid logo. I hate apple.

My cousin works for apple in the UK and hes always pestering me about their latest products and crap, I just tell him where to stick them every time.
