Hey Guys and Gals,

Just wanted some feedback about morewood bikes.

I have an opp to buy a morewood Shova ST with Shimano XT components and fox talas 32's. Does anyone know much about these bikes, it only weighs 12.8Kgs. I think this is awesome bang for your buck but have no insight into the brand.

Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers

mate go for it!

ive only had my shova lt for about a week and im all ready impressed they just peadal so well for a single piviot.

i had a reign with the mastero platform and i think this pedals better than that.

and how many bikes are hand made in south africa? the quality is outstanding
and is realy worth the money.

a big A++++++ to morewood from me

also less piviots = less maintenance = more riding

is the 5.2" enough travel or do you find yourselves stretched??

stetched? that would be more to do with the top tube length.

the Shova ST is aimed at the all mountain market

while the Shova LT is for FR/DH

so u will probably find that the toptube length a little longer than the LT version.

what type of riding are you looking at doing?

i do all mountain, little downhill. I was looking at the specialized enduro expert model nice and light with 6" travel so when I do go d/h i can feel confident. My mates that have morewoods said the talas 32" is awesome and you can still feel good. I am upgrading from santa cruz bullit 04'.

Morewood in general are great bikes. my mate races an 07 Imuzu Dh, and he loves it, super light for what it is! also, i think there was a long term test of the Shova ST in MBUK in august or september that might help you out.

I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread but I was just wondering who is the importer of Morewood in Australia.

Cheers.
