Someone emailed this pic today of me at the 24hour going over the tabletop. This is the only decent picture I have had taken of me in 15 years of riding bikes. It is not that big a jump but for some reason I have regressed in my jumping abilities in the last couple of years. Probably something to do with sick of getting hurt.

Thanks man. It is an 2004 NRS2 with Fox Talas RLC and XTR calipers, Xt discs and Deore levers. Our team went heaps better than expected as none of us had done a lot of training. From memory we got 9th in the fours and 28th or 29th overall. Had a blast. Great course.

Cheers dude. I am getting back to where I was last year but have a long way to go.
were you still hit that jump as hard, towards the end of the 24 hours?
yes i am asuming that the photo is early in the race, and that you had regular stints throughout the race.
Nice style you got going there. Were you tired at the end?

Fark yeah. Fortunately I didn't have any hamstring cramps either during or after the race which is a first. Being close to home I was in bed by about 4:00pm asleep. Didn't get up until 6:00 the next morning to go to work.

Actually it was my second last lap at about 11:30am on Sunday. In total I did 10 laps in the 24 hours with 3 lots of doubles. Can't wait for the 12 hour on my home track. Unfortunately there are no jumps as nice as this one on the course.

I was wandering how long anyone would mention that but it is fair dink. I remember seeing the guy on the next lap a bit further down the track and he had a huge camera in his hands. Probably a professional digital SLR type camera.
iLikeBasS, probably, no, definitely wasn't hitting it as big at night. But like anything in the dark it felt big.

But did you clear it?
The only time I had a fair dink go at it was on my last lap and by that time the legs didn't want to push a big enough gear. landed with the front wheel just short of the down ramp.
For an xc track it had some fun stuff. The table top, quad jumps, big asre rythms... nioce
Got a good look on ya face there!
:x bit like that one lol
