Welcome to the ELMA thread. For those who don't know, Elastomania is a 2D motorbike simulation, similair to freerider 2. Big difference is it uses physics that resemble the real world and allows far more control of the bike and rider.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elasto_Mania

I figured we should set up a track directory with tracks people have made or favourites they have found on line. I know a few of the members on here play so there should be some cool stuff floating around

To play elastomania, it needs to be downloaded. The free trial can be downloaded here:
http://www.elastomania.com/sharewa.htm
The free trial can't play external files, so it won't be able to play the maps people post up here.

You can buy the full version off that site, or it can be downloaded in a variety of places online free.
The file is small (from memory approx 3mb) so download won't take long

The physics of the game can be changed with the program "elma nitro"
http://teambmx.tripod.com/stuff.htm

So. Onto the maps. If you post a map, use the following template, then it is easy to use.

Name:
Type:
Physics Changes:
Comments:

Farkin.net doesn't allow for .lev attachments. So to upload, change .lev to .doc. Likewise, to play change .doc to .lev. The files are nice and small, <80kb so download takes seconds. Transfer the .lev file into the lev folder within the elastomania game and it should appear ingame under external files.

I'll start it off
Name: Ultimate 4X
Type: 4X track
Physics Changes:
Acceleration: 1111
Timescale: 1111
Elasticity: 1050
Gravity: 1050
Free rotate on
Comments: This is a giant 4X track with multiple lines the whole way through. It isn't hard to complete, but it is hard to complete fast. It has rythm sections, big jumps, drops, step ups, rollers, rock gardens, technical sections, the lot.

Any questions, shoot me a pm

Once you have downloaded the .doc file, change the file extension to .lev then put it in the lev folder in the elastomania directory on your computer. Run elastomania, when you have a list of levels infront of you, go to "play external file"

It should appear there as whatever you have called it

I have a bad feeling this is gonna be like the Freerider 2 Thread.

But i will give it a try.

If it does take off, it shouldn't turn out badly like the freerider thread because more effort is required to make a track and to make a track that doesn't suck requires even more effort.

Each to their own. Try it with the the changed physics, you'll be surprised how much better it is.

I got addicted to this game years ago. The design is really simple but it's fun. I think Freerider has brainwashed Farkin a little too much for a majority to fully appreciate this game.

I remember playing the original elastomania back in highschool, such an awesome game.

Glad to see some people appreciate the game. And it really does leave freerider for dead, the physics in ELMA are way better

Yep FR2 has nothing over Elma, I remember starting playing this game back when it all started. I recently knocked it off the school computers (full version) and theres quiet a lot of tracks that students have made on it, ill zip the folder up soon and upload it.
