Ok the time has come and ive finaly got the ball rolling to replace my salsa singlespeed. Im looking at geting the new frame built so i have the option to run 650b wheels (i realise you can run them on a standard frame most of the time). Has anyone tried to fit these wheels into the new 09 sids? and i guess the big question is anyone aware of any shops in melbourne that has a test set? Its a long shot but i dont wanto be building a new set of wheels and then find its not for me. And no im not going the 29er as im to short so please dont recomend a 29er

I just fitted a set of Velocity 650b Blunt wheels to a duelly that had a Manitou Black XC fork. 2.00 Pacenti fitted. Not sure about the sid's.

craig, none of the mtbr 650b conversion threads mention anything about the new sid's, for some reason i remember reading that they didn't fit but i wouldn't take that as a final answer...maybe call the guys at definitive (http://www.definitivecycles.com.au/), if they don't know off hand then they'll have a 650b wheel that they can take to a lbs and try in a set of sids to get the info for you.
