Hey Guys..
What did everyone think of the event?
Good Points vs. Bad Points?
Cheers.
(Results to come - technical difficulties)

Good:
- Track of a difficulty ridable by all
- Good layout for the transition area
- Decent attempt to get the presentations done despite the obvious issues
- Seemed to have a reasonable number of points people could walk out to and watch, plenty of spectators around the second half of the track, always good to see
Bad:
- 29 degrees when 20 was expected (perhaps mistakenly)
- Unsafe and aggressive passing observed by and commented on by a handful of riders
- Two corners which turned to two inches of powder by the end of the race
- Getting very lonely towards the end of the day when it seems there was quite a bit of attrition
WTF:
- Not sure I've ever been to an event where I've seen so many people standing aside re-inflating or repairing tyres.
- My arm was killing me by the end of the race, and I was on a duallie - how the hell some people I noticed managed solo on that track is beyond me.

I really liked the course too. Lots of fun sections and it seemed shorter that it actually was, which is always a nice feeling in a race.
The transition area was nice and roomy, which was good, everyone seemed to be able to get a ring-side seat without having to sit on top of each other.
No results is no good though. I know there are plenty of stats people out there like me who like to study them in detail. To the extent that we may be called obsessive  Will there be results at any time, or are they lost forever?

Good
Great track - lots of fun
Well setup transition
Good length
Bad
Sick of getting blown past by Gordo and CO
I thought it was THE BEST 6HE course all year. I raced solo a couple of years ago at the eight hour and remember the first SSS there. The course has come so far. Heaps of room to pass, techo, challenging and not a ball breaker. The grass was even green. Can you believe that? Congratulations to all those who sat on the corners, in the marshalling tent, pulled down tape and sorted out results late at night. John's Crew always seem to run a sweet event. Had a ball. Thanks Bendigo.
Bendigo turned on great weather and one of the best tracks. Such an even lap effort all the way round. No major ups, downs or technicals, interesting single track with plenty of passing opportunitites - makes a track perfect for all level of riders from expert to newbie, especially for a solo six rider.
What a great transition 'oval' with views of incoming team mates, I managed to be ready!!!
Thanks to the hardcore Bendigo Club members especially John Harvey for his paddocks!!! Can't wait for the Epic in November!!!!!
Concur with all the good points above.:)
The -ve was lack of timing on the day which was a minor issue at the time but a few days laster and I'm sick of going to website to find some results. When will they be up ?

John,
Another rider mentioned to me last night that they were up but are no longer there, and I haven't spotted them at all.
The HTTP headers give me a last updated time of Tuesday, 26 August 2008 10:11:20 PM on the page. After clearing my cache I still get the same result from two different locations, so I don't believe it's a proxy/cache issue.
If that made no sense: Can you please check the page yourself and confirm that the link is there?
Alternatively, is anyone else getting content that gives the aforementioned link?
Thanks.
I can not find the results anywhere on the web page and I have checked frequently each day.

Yeh the link is there but it doesn't work, did yesterday and Tueday, as I have email feedback from riders about the results, it must be a server issue as I am at present unable to update or log onto the server. When fixed I will rectrify, I have atached the overall results.

I have atached the overall results.
Well I've seen all I need to - I'm absolutely stoked at that, cross off one of my season goals. Probably would have pulled it off at Castlemaine had I not screwed up nutrition, but this just cements it :)
Next up: Anglesea.

Need to see if the grand final beers on Saturday had an adverse effect on my speed.

Laps times will take a while longer, have to check them all and update by hand. Have heard from our web provider they are having problems and are fixing them, stay tuned.
