Item: 03 hayes mag with 8 inch rotor and boxxer adaptor good pads as well lots of meat left on em
Location: blue mountains will send at your expense
Item Condition: not a scratch......... except that the piston, the part that screws into the lever balde ahs pulled out of the rest of the piston inside the lever if you know what i mean, anyway blame cityrail theres no where to put ur bikes on the trains, mine fell over and a pole went between teh bar and the lever popping the piston out, not impressed i dont know whats involved in fixing it.......
Reason for selling: ^^^ as above, its broken, im running m4s now got no use for it even if it worked
Price and price conditions: 150 negotiable, prolly let it go for 100 if its seriously farked and needs a new lever or sumthing

Unless you lost some bits, or the seal is farked from being exposed whilst the piston was out (maybe it dried out or something, im not sure, Its prob alright tho.) You should be able to pop the piston back in, then rebleed. Personally I would flush it out with a bit of fluid, coz u probably got crap in there.

edit- make sure u clean it all really well, and rub some fluid on all the internals that were exposed before you push it in (and after you cleaned them). But basically it should be quite easy to just pop it back in, bleed it, and it should be right. And that also seems a little dodgy, doesn't it have a lever stopper or something preventing the thing from over extending and popping the piston out?

He's talking about the piston in the master cylinder here Vit, not in the calliper..
I think some shit would have to have been fucked up for the piston to be pulled out of the mc.

Hey im pretty sure its the same deal either end pretty much. Simpler on the SC prob though.

i popped the thing back in then pulled on it a bit not too hard to check if it was in and it came out again, now it wont go back in........

ok ive jsut botered to pull thr thing apart and i know whats wrong with it and can fix it i need a new c clip, a little round piece of metal that hold the piston mabobbie in and then the c clip holds that in and a new rubber boot thingie to stop crud getting in, does anyone know what im talking about and how much these parts are? i may as well keep the brake now so the next admin that read this can you please lock it, thanks
