You should rewrite that. Then translate to English.

By the sounds of it you cracked your Big Hit Grom.

Depending on the size of the crack, and how much you like the frame, give Grip a shout.

PM grip with photo's and he will be able to tell you how much it will cost and wether it's worth doing. They do some really good work at Gripsport.

Yeh i would definetly see grip about repairing your frame, find out how much it would cost. Also look at alternatives such as getting a second hand frame from the for sale section but remember that you have to make sure all your parts fit.

I cracked my ht frame a little while ago, warranty covered mine. Then when I got the new frame some bastard stole my bike.

Just ask the bike shop where you bought it about warranty. (assuming that its not 2nd hand)

Gripsport should be cheaper than buying a new frame, i don't think there are any second hand BigHit Grom frames for sale

Who'd you buy it off? name and flame them. Unless it was your wrong doing in the sale. Did he specify everything right? did you go around and see it before the sale? or did he just post it.

Put some effort into your posts please, if you continue to completely ignore the punctuation keys on your keyboard you might find yourself suddenly unable to continue posting.

Besides that, wtf is the point of this thread? So far all you've done is complained about it, what do you want us to do? You ask if you can repair it, then say you don't want to repair it cos that'll cost money you don't have, and you don't want to replace it because that also costs money, so therefore you're pretty much saying that you can't do anything... so what do you want out of this thread?

It's not just a re-weld. They also brace it and weld it among other things.

If you just get it re-welded over the crack, yes it will be weaker. If you get it properly repaired (ie including bracing/gussets as required) it will often be stronger than the original. Gripsport does tons of repairs like this.

Again though mate - punctuation please, it won't kill you to hit a few more keys, but it does make it a lot easier for the rest of us to read.

Dont take this the wrong way dude but your frame is hardly designed for a) the parts fitted and b) the style of riding you have in mind. Id toss it.

The Grom was designed, like the Stinky Jr and the Norco B-Line, as a junior sort of DH bike. Dont get me wrong, I like your set up but the the frame is your biggest let down (Essentially you have chucked Holden parts on a Hyundai).

My recommendation would be to save your money and get a new frame. In the short term, it might cost you a bit but I think now is as good a time to upgrade as any.

Nah, your better off riding it as is then getting some hack to weld it for you. As it has already been explained to you a number of times, you need to get it done properly (gussets etc) as just welding it will not work.

Get a quote from Grip or get a new frame. Maybe even just picking up a cheap Norco HT or something just to carry you over or something. They go cheap and will take your forks.

Mate, what he said is completely and utterly true.

mrcurlyhead has made no attempt to take onboard what has been suggested by respected members of the Farkin community, nor make any attempt with his spelling and punctuation. fat'n'unfit is merely pointing that out in language you will understand as logic isnt really your forte.

...and here you come bursting in like the e-hero you are defending him when infact your last thread was as pointless, if not more so then his.

Close this one.

You realise that you were the one who cracked the frame, not him. There might not have been a hugely obvious visible crack. That's one of the risks you take when buying second hand.

He might be refering to the fact that his purchase showed a lack of foresight. They are designed as kids bikes...

Well its haps cheap to get w weld done on a frame or check and see if warranty covers it as i snapped a rear swing arm off my bike a few years ago and it was under warranty, then i cracked it under the headset around half the tube and got it welded back together, i have not had any problems since
