I'm looking at building a bike for boy and after an alloy MTB frame but Extra Small 35cm or sililar.

Needs to have disc brake mount and suitable for running gears.

Thanks the Scott sounds good however it needs to be extra small size disc frame...virtually BMX size. I plan to run 22 or 24" wheels on it with disc brakes. I have seen it done before and works real well even with 26" forks but with short travel like the older 63mm travel. Makes it a better quality MTB for kids than the off the shelf 20 or 24".

regarding forks, it doesn't matter what wheel size you run in relation to the bikes angle geometry, if you run 24" wheels on a regular 26" wheel designed frame you'll still run the same fork
other than that it is a good way to get your young 'un on a decent bike, you can always change to 26" wheels as they grow too

Norco make the bushpilot and a few others in a XXS (12 1/2") frame by the way
