Good news flash... I'm picking him up from the hospital in an hour and taking him home, he says a quick spin at oxy would be good, but I think I'll just drop him home.
The road to recovery begins!
That sucks Chuckie, hope it's not too long to get back.
Which jump is 747? Is it the road gap after the 2 doubles before abo rock?
Hope you didn't scratch your pony, especially after how concerned you were after scratching the frame while practising the rock garden at Ourimbah.

Hi all
Thanks for all your support and well wishes
The damage was 9 broken ribs, fractured scapula, punctured lung and concussion. the bike came off pretty much unscathed :p
I also gotta thank Anderson for the "kiss of life" which probably saved my life
I havent been part of the MTB community very long (bout 18 months)but I am amazed at how many friends I have made thru the sport in such a short time. I was overwhelmed by the amount of visitors I got in hospital and well wishes I have received from fellow mountain bikers from this forum
To my close riding mates from Oxy (Woody, Brad, Rene, Jan) that were there almost every night I will never forget what you guys done for me and hopefully will someday be able to return the favour. You guys rock!
Anyway time to recover and get back out there again for a ride with you all soon
Thanks again Farkiners

Just wonderin', and don't rage over this, but how long will it be (from now) before chucky can like walk around, run, do his martial arts and ride once again. It just seems so sad to hear about how he has to rest up so much. I know that its in the processs of road to recovery, but do you (Chucky) get out for walks, commuter rides, jogs with mates or something as like a recovery session taking it step by step. It would be cool to hear of someones recovery story from such a heavy crah like his, Cheers,
Tom.
