View Full Version : STOLEN: Melbourne - GT 2008 Team Marathon

Bike: GT - 2008 Marathon Team
Colour: Black with white forks
Date it was stolen: 13/10/2008
Where it was stolen: East Melbourne from the back of a car in a "secure" carpark.
Specs: Full XTR including wheels, FOX 32 RL forks, RP23 rear shock.
Other Discriptions: Cateye (CC-HR200DW) speedo and tail light.

According to the distributor there weren't many of these (< 10) imported into the country and as you can see its pretty distinctive. Any help recovering this bike would be greatly appreciated.

Faaarkin, that bites sorry man. What a wicked ride. Will keep an eye out in Sydney for it, sure stands out.

That bike will stick out a mile.

I will keep my eyes open in the CBD and inner east.

You hardly see the 08 Pro models around and I have never seen a Team in real life....

Shite! Will keep my eyes peeled for you. Am in Richo so will drop you a line if I spot some unlikely-to-be-the-owner-of-a-Marathon looking stooge. Good luck with it.

My eyes are open around Brunswick, Brunswick west, Carlton and around the city.

Insurance should cover it, however its unlikely I'll get a replacement before the 24hr :( and the 2009 model is just not the same. Not the end of the world, but was looking forward to ride it at the 24hour. :(
