Video Comp Proposal

Bit of an idea i've been concocting up for a while. When an editor is in the midst of making a video they usually chose music that suites well with the footage, right?

A song will be chosen by the farkin community that does not suit riding/riding footage what so ever. The one song chosen is the only song contestants may use in the video.

Thats the basic outline of my idea.

Hmm i don't know. I didn't want a song that would just be near impossible to edit around, but more something that makes the editor edit the video around the song...ifff that makes any sense.

I had a great storyline/video to base the song on but i have no means of being able to film.

But yeh im sure some may not like the choice of song. Feel free to throw in some suggestions!

I'd love it to mate. I for one won't be competing for reason previously stated.

If everyones fine with that james blunt song, then i guess that'll be the song used! Any genre of riding would be fine. Maybe we should wait for a few more contestant.

Also how would we set this up? We'll need 3+ judges and maybe another additional thread so conestants can link everyone to there videos.

Im finding it hard to find a song i would think is challenging. I thought that song would be pretty good as it sets a mood of sorts. As if a story to the video is needed.Hence why i thought it would be great as the film makers would not only have to make the riders do what they do but also base it around a story.

I didn't want the song to be a song so out of context its stupid. Like death metal or something.

But whatever, feel free to throw in some nominations and not just comment about how i should change the song.

i think, grab 4 songs. say those two, and then another two that are different, get people to vote, then the song that is chosen will be the song we all use.
