It looks like RockShox and Marzocchi are starting to take over the DH market and leaving the ol' Dorado's behind!

the reason cos dorados left behind is cause the 888's are so damn sexy :D
im suprised there isnot that many
xworks dorados on the sponsored riders
those forks are perfect for racing, ride really well and pedal even better
only thing would be the weight compared to a boxxer

Why run 8 inch dorados when you can run stiffer and plusher 888's? The new boxxers are 8 inch as well and boxxers have always been tried and true. Also, why run 7 inch dorados when you can run slider+, pretty simlar damping systems and slider+ are again way stiffer.

have u ridden dorados, boxxers, and 888's? how have you come to that conclusion. dorados are the smoothest fork out, they may not be as stiff, but they are the most responsoive and extreamly smooth when set up properly.

I own boxxers, have ridden 888's on a rm7 wade simmons, and dorados on a banshee scream. Have also ridden slider+ on a banshee chapparell. Im not saying dorados are shite, Im just saying that I'd prefer stiffness and strength over carbon! Also, check the internal specs of slider+ and dorados, both have similar spv internals and I think, Im not 100% sure, but are slider+ lighter than dorados? Dont get me wrong I would not complain if I had a shiny set of dorados on the front of my bike!
This photo is freaking me out....all crazy optical things going on

That is such a load of shit, you cant seriously tell me that when you're punching runs on a downhill track you can notice a tiny bit of flex in your forks. That would be the furthest thing away from my mind. Just because you hear people say things about flex, the truth is that any normal peson can't notice flex in a bike when they ride it!!!
