What are 02 Avanti D8 like? Also bike prices

Im thinking of upgrading to a 02 Avanti D8. What are they ride like, what rear travel and are the frames strong? Also would anyone be interested in my foes dh slammer. Frame has cracked down near the bottom bracket but im gonna get it rewelded by grip and get him to check out the rest of the frame for cracks or stress marks. It will also be painted satin black. What would people pay for the foes dh slammer 99/00 model with:
02 boxxers 7inch {maybe i might keep em}
XTR shifter and derailer
midleburn cranks
Azonic shorty stem and rizer bars
the old mavic 521 rims
8inch hfx mag dh front hydro and 8inch rear hayes cable
7 3/4 rear travel, fox TC rear shock
3 duro front type and tiga 2.3 rear

hmmmm... this is border line and should probably be in the for sale section.

As for the d8 there is heaps on here, so try the search function. But to recap.........

1. Strong
2. Low center of gravity so corners well
3. Progresive linkage so the shock feels kind off bottomless
4. Farily long wheel base, better suited to fast open tracks
5. Resonably slack head angle
6. With the right parts can be built up to around 45 pounds
7. Limited with chain guide choice, ie you can only use the avanti one
8. Linkage can get hit around bad seeing it hangs below the BB a fair way.

Not a bad bike for the $$

as for the foes, its still cracked and im not for shore if im gonna sell it yet but i still want to se if people would by a cracked frame. But its top quality and its getting rewelded by a pro.

Try and buy a hydro rear disc for the Foes and then you'll get $2000.
