Here is my new toy.

08 New 243, with some 2nd gear

Frame :- 08 New 243 Black
Wheel :- Fire Eye Rims White
Hub :- Fire Eye Front and Rear White
Stem :- Deity White
Bars :- Deity White
Headset :- Chris King Mango
Forks :- Pikes 409 (2nd hand)
Brakes :- Hayes HFX 8" (2nd hand)
Gears :- Shimano Deore (2nd hand)
Seat:- Cool
Post :- Atomlab

Yeah, Darren (Brisbane Boutique Bikes) built it for me, he styled it up on his specs, he helped me out massive on this bike.

He does all my servicing and builds for both bikes, he also does Ben Powers new rig.

It is my 2nd bike, "project dirt", learning to jump better and have fun in the street of Brissie on street rides, and yes my wife rides it too, all good.

Wow the '08 .243 frames look a fair load better than the older ones. Looking great keep it up and I hope "Project Dirt" is going well.

It's a SNAFU. When I saw it I couldn't resist. Just had to go on a black/white frame!! Looks sexy as. Congrats again Vinelink!! Awesome ride.

might i ask though...why 8" rotors? surely 6 would be sufficient for street and dirt and would be much less prone to hitting stuff as they are smaller?

Yeah i thought the same thing about the brake rotors.
But other then that it looks pretty trick.:)

Brakes.

Most of the 2nd gear came off my DH bike as I upgraded it. (except the 409's)

New Hope M4 brakes F&R on DH, Hayes on DJ
New SRAM X9 on DH, Shimano Deore on DJ
