Visitor recommendations

Greetings,

I'm considering a visit to Australia in January, 09 (I live in New York City) and want to get in at least 3-4 DH/FR rides per week during my visit. Any suggestions on whether I should make Queensland or Victoria my base? I've heard great things about Cairns, but it also seems like the Melbourne area has some fun stuff, like You Yangs.

Yeah mate theres pleanty in every state, try google'n it. Sydneys got pleanty, but its good to know people who have a ute otherwise you walking up!

um there both pretty good but id go with QLD.

mate victoria has heaps of stuff to ride you yangs, doongala, long gully, mt buller etc
