i cant find it anywhere and its startin to piss me off :x
Hydraulic whats? Or just the whole concept of hydraulics? If it's the latter, you're probably looking back to ancient Greek times, maybe earlier still...

Introduction To Hydraulics
Hydraulics are a simple machine discovered in the early 1800’s by a French scientist named Blaise Pascal. At the time of Pascal discovering the concept of hydraulics, technological constraints prevented him from creating his idea. This was due to the simple fact that the necessary machines had not yet been constructed. Many years passed and in the early 1900’s the necessary machines had finally been constructed to produce the vital, tightly-fitting parts that are crucial to a hydraulic’s systems working. From this point on, Hydraulic systems were incorporated into almost every aspect of life. For example Hydraulics are used in mechanic’s garage to raise cars on a lift, dentist’s chair, disk brakes and automatic transmissions in cars and these are just a few examples of Hydraulics being used today.
the first paragraph to my science assignment. is it good?
That's not a bad opening paragraph, except that "hydraulics" isn't a machine... it's a pretty general area.

Hydraulics isn't a machine, its a concept of propulsion.
Also thats amazing, I'd have thought they would have come up with something earlier than that but there you go.. First time I've learns tomething new an interesting for a while, I salute you..
Actually I'm amazed Archimedes didn't have anything on the subject, he was certainly a pioneer in hydro engineering with his screw-type water pump.
