That is a VERY sweet Bullit Daver.

You've got some Race Face parts on it though. I thought you were allergic to that stuff.

Yeah i know. In fact, the chainring is the only original item on the bike! :o . I'd like to get some new cranks, and i guess i will need some, but the problem is that there are so many to choose from now it's hard to find one.

The other problem is the actual bolt pattern, because 5/110 seems to be getting phased out and Evil chainguides are pretty rare in Australia- hence i'd really like to keep it, which further limits my choice. Basically the only crankset i'd go for would be an old Shimano XTR which i'm searching for.

Weight wise it is around 18 kilos or 38 or so pounds, which is pretty light for a DH bike but then again the frame isn't really a true downhiller. Ideally i'd like to get a new shock shuttle to slacken the headangle a degree or so and drop the bottom bracket height, but i guess that is going to get pretty expensive. If i could slacken the headangle 2 degrees and drop the bb height an inch the bike would be one of the best downhill frames on the market due to the weight and stiffness, but i guess that may or may not happen depending on what happens outside my riding world.

The bullit should be alive and kicking until the beginning/end of next years national series, after which it will be relegated back to a trail friendly and uphillable steed :!:, making way for a new DH ride. But again, that depends on getting some money and learning how to save it.

Price wise, the last time i played around with the part by part worth (it is a custom build) we were looking at a bloody big figure, but when i ride it it does feel worth it, and more importantly, i love the bike, so it feels worth it to me.

I'll get some pics of the dropout tomorrow or sometime in the week, but until then this will have to suffice...

You might want to update your profile sig from saying "Bullit: (KIA dead!!!)" to something like "Bullit: (Bloody expensive" or "Bullit: (alive and kicking)" etc etc

Its worth checking out the hotdeals page at CBO - http://www.cambriabike.com - because I believe they have some 5 arm M950 XTR stuff still being cleared.

Anyways, very nice, looks clean in the black, smooth looking ride.
