Can anyone fill me in on the rugby teams in Cairns district?
I'm moving to kewarra beach and i was wondering what the closest club was - and if there is a better or worse club to avoid

Union.
It seems like its a pick between brothers, barron trinity bulls and the wanderers.

Just on a note you dont need to play sport to drink up here, its just to dam hot so we just drink anyway i no that sounds like im saying we are alcies but we are not just like a drink or 2 or 8 on a hot day.

Sweet. It sounds like my home away from home then.

When i went up for my interview i couldn't believe the humidity, or how quick your drink disappears. I'm looking forward to it!

I've been looking for info on the net (my final exams are soon - any procrastination is looking good.)
Have the bulls got a home ground to play at yet? It seems like the Kangaroos have booted them from the field they used to use

Hi I am from the Barron trinty bulls.

Thought i'd answer a few questions.

Yes we have a home Ground - it's on the corner of Rutherford and Sheridan streets at the Cairns Hockey Association. We will be training on Tuesday and Thursday nights commencing mid January.

Our home Games will be played at West Barlow park.

In 2010 we hope to be the first and only Rugby Club in Cairns to have their OWN Rugby Union football field.

We have A and Reserve teams.

We have a great social club as well ;)

Currently we are playing touch down at the Esplanade on Wednesdays from 5:30pm - opposite the hospital / next to the Volley Ball courts - this is a Barron tradition we have done for years over the off season.

Check our websire for updates and contact details.

Sweet as - hopefully i'll find a spot in the reserve side.
It'll be good playing rugby again i think, except for the heat!
