I've been trying to put up a post on and off for about a year now. All I ever seem to find is a list of rules but no direction on how to do things???
Regards, Michael.

Probably didn't reply to confirmation email. Where's an admin when you need one?

You're taking the piss... right? You can't seriously have been looking around for a year and not seen all the "help" and "how to" threads? Have you not seen or had a look in the NEWBIE CENTRAL or ANNOUNCEMENTS areas?

Anyway, welcome to Farkin and here's a starting point for your great journey into darkness :D

I would think that if I can post here I would be able to post anywhere right?

Thanks for the link, but I've read all of that and used the links to all the other rules. I feel like I should be able to pass an Phd exam on Farkinism. All of my searches and helps ultimately keep coming back to the same spot.

Do I need to apply somewhere to post in other locations other than here??

Regards, Michael.

Ah, there's your problem. PhD's don't involve exams. You need to write a Thesis.

Not really there are some areas that need extra permissions and stuff.

No... but you DO need to reply to the confirmation email you got sent when you joined up.

You hadn't... your account/membership hadn't been activated... I've done it for you now... enjoy the site. :)

When I first joined up I didn't look for the confirmation email because frankly I was happy enough just browsing through the site. Now that I'm a little more up on things I want to get a little more involved and exchange useful info with other users.

Thanks all and happy pedalling, Michael.

Hi Joon
When you first set up you get a confirmation email which sometimes goes to your junk mail folder. This I already knew but didn't worry about because at the time I was only interested in cruising the site and didn't really want to get to involved.

Problem is and it could be yours, that as time goes by your junk folder gets deleted and the confirmation email is gone. How you go about getting another I never figured out. The Farkistrator (Scott meister I think) sorted it for me.

Basically I think if your going to do something then just go all the way. Don't just sit back like I did.

It's a bit like that jump you didn't make because you weren't fully committed at the time???? (Thought for the day).

Good luck dude.
Michael.
