I think the rear brakes are avids yeah? I have them on my Chase and they work a treat :D

thats hella nice. What tubing does it use?
That is one nice bike :D You've got to love Spot Brand gear.
I can hear the sound of shoe on tire as we speak!
Are you realy short? It looks like the bars come up to your arm pits!
I'm sure it's just the picture, looks realy nice!
Did you buy that one from Spoke(n) in Melbourne? I noticed one in there a couple of months ago. Apparently its really heavy! Any inside information i should know about?

Well either the pic is slightly skewed, or the bike in the background has an oval wheel ;)
Looks super nice, really clean frame!

yeh this is the only spot DIRTJUMP frame in Aus.
i got this from the former spot importer. he had it as his 'rep' bike.
it is pretty lite for steel, well lighter than me old scab anyway. not sure about the tubing. the Cross-Country spots are made of 1/2 reynolds and 1/2 dedacai. No im not a midget but im only 14. the frame is stiffer than your old fella on viagra! the welds are so smooth! ill post up specs when i could be arsed. i plan on getting a front avid cable 8' pretty soon. thanks for the comments/complements :D

wow nice bike. you must fell real special because no one can match your bike, so that is a pretty confidence boosting fact. its an awesome bike, though the wheel base looks short (though i think that is the distorted picture)

yeh it's super stiff in the rear end... the rear chainstays are rectangle,
i guess this contributes to the stiffness

Im pretty sure the one that dutton has bought was in aus since the start of the winter dh series last year. The guy who put the bbqs on at the races owned it (or one bloody similar).

I mean no disrespect by saying this but to set the record straight, Oli, you now have the first of the two Spot SS DJ's in Oz. The other (second) one was here at Spoke(n) but has since been sold. It's matte black rather than gloss but is otherwise the same - not sure who the owner is tho.
Schmitdy, you must have missed it on one of the few days you DIDN'T come in - a suprise to you I'm sure when you often know where more things are in here than I do... ;-)

My bad, this is why i avoid long hiatuses from comming in or breaking something...that way i can keep up with all the news in the spoke(n) world. Oh well, just wait for that bb cup tool to come in, im sure i can screw something up using that.

Alright i stand corrected, but this frame was the first one of its kind in Australia.
My frame landed on our shores around this time last year. I know the two distributors of Spot Dan and Malachi very well. Malachi went to Vancouver and ordered a bunch of frames in around a month ago. in that batch probably was that other dirtjumper.
