Dale has worked his arse off to make Red Hill a challenge for local riders, the only reason you dont ride there is that you dont have the skill. With attitude like yours Im doubtful you will ever have a place your welcome too. I will be up there giving as much help as i am capable of, as for the comments being made, if it wasn't for Dale red hill would have not progressed the way it has. He has inspired passion in some of the younger crew up there by showing them that with a little hard work and motivation they well have one of the best jump spots around. Some of the more intelligent and less arogant people realise he only means well.
Gromet, you have some talent (don't let it get to your head and ruin the respect some people have for you) and if you wish to take Dales remarks too seriously, thats your problem.

People must realise that the only reason he gets angry is he loves the place and does not want the place fucked up by people that have no respect for how much work has gone into the place. Without people like Dale things take a very long time to be built.

Unfortunately there is always going to be a hand full of people that have always got something negative to say (unfortunately for them they won't be able to ride red hill when its finished)

Anyway on anouther note there has been talk of the hill being Dangerous
with holes and other stuff,
i recon if we fill the holes and have a bit of a clean up we might have a better chance of actually keeping red hill!!!!!
with all the new help i've been getting we should be able to get this done pretty quickly and we can concentrate on getting the new lines going!!!!

Y? So they can build u some jumps? Well mate, there are plenty of poeple like these guys, lots of them, like urself with arms and legs which are able to operate a shovel. All it takes is some time and effort.

As for the poeple who seem to think that the no digging, no riding policy is bad, u need to realise that the builders are building them so that they can ride them, not u.

Btw, i have nothing to do with these jumps, don't know the guys, but it seems everywhere u go, theres always someone willing to ride and fuck ur jumps for free without even repairing them, be it bmxers, mtbers or bogans on 50s.

I used to ride at red hill often, and I was a complete noob (still am), yet jumps where still setup to cater for us, many the time u had to wait to do a jump coz little kids would be riding them.
But i haven't been there for a while, so i wouldn't really know if it has changed much, but I don't think that the guys working there would completely total all the small jumps so little kids woudn't be able to ride there. We all have to start somewhere and the guys know that.

i have a few ideas

1. Change Red Hills name to Dale Hill
2. Make some kiddies jumps all the big jumps arent needed go to lizard rock or somewere and build there if you need your big jumps, i find it upsetting to not see little kids there anymore, the bigger the get the word comes out and the concil will be down there asap

Little kids need to learn how to dirt jump they wont be able to with 5-6 foot lips now will they!!!

3. I think you should work on the down hill track last time i went down there was ages ago the track needed to be fixed!

I would love to come down and help make little kids jumps but its fully pointless considering some people will go make the gaps bigger or make it bigger!

Red Hill was where I learnt to ride DJ's on a MTB.

I believe the changes over the last 18 months have made the place worth driving 1 hour each way to ride. There was a time when I was still a crap dirt jumper and I thought Red Hill was only good for the DH and X-Country.

But now the jump park has improved so much, I just go to ride dirt jumps.

From what I can see, the jumps have always been difficult to learn on, but when your skill starts to increase, there is a progressive nature to the jumping there..........with the rythm section being for those seeking the greatest challenge on offer.

This is in the dirt jumping section of farkin.net so you have to assume people reading this have an interest in dirt jumping. So seeing as the topic of this thread is "Diggers wanted!!!!" I suggest you show your support and then have your say on the day, with a shovell in hand, and back up your claims to make a better place for all (adult and child, expert and novice). And for the record, no one is against making small jumps, it's just that no one is making them, if you understand what I mean.

And please don't comment on what we already know, the 2 small jumps on the far right hand side have been made bigger.

Recently, smack bang in the middle of the jump park some people built a a small double that sets the rider up for the hip.

Plus me and some of the youngsters made a landing for a small jump to flat land (now it has a bit of a down ramp to aim for beyond the flat.)

If you dont like Red Hill dont go there its that simple. Last time I went to RH which was Sunday, there were 5 jumps for people trying to hone there skills( kids for eg ). There was a girl up there doing the new double in the middle and she was loving it, I didnt hear her crying about the jumps are too big, Im scared.
As for the pack yer there big but like Shintaro said there for people who already have the skills, whats wrong with that. And yes Dale doesnt own RH but either do you, the fucking church owns it. There are no plans in council to develop RH, the church needs to sell the land to developers first before the bulldozers flatten it so stop the rumours.
