Hi All
Just thought I'd post a picture of a bike that I still cant believe I own!
This is the fastest best handling bit of gear that I've ever ridden, and Ive ridden an awful lot of bikes in my time.
This bike allowed me to drop between 1-3 minutes off my best lap times on my some of my favourite XC tracks. I used to run a GT Zaskar.

Cheers guys, photos a bit dodgy, but the bike still looks great.
Did a long ride this weekend and decided to leave it at home in favour of my hardtail. (Only to minimise risk to the trek, the ride involves plenty of tech sections) Damn I missed my fuel, its amazing the diference a bike like that makes!

Your right It does ride like a dream!
Its absolutely amazing what three inches of travel can do.
The bike was custom speced up by Turramurra cycles for me so it does not have the stock fuel 100 kit.
Specs are
Fuel 100 OCLV frame
Full XTR Groupset (Yes I really like the dual control shifters)
Fox float R with propedal (ditched the sid rear shock)
Fox F100X forks (way better than sids, an unbelievable fork!)
XTR Wheels
Geax Mezcal tubeless tyres (Awesome grip for a 1.9)
Easton EC 90 carbon Post and EA90 bars
Weighs in at around 10.5 kgs. Incredibly fast!

Looks Beautiful man!
Personally I'd be weary of the carbon frame, but I loke a solid as a rock pedaling platform, as I'm a rather large & powerful person, particularly in the legs
What are the Fox F100X's like? I'm tossing up between them and a set of Float 100RCL's and / or a set of RockShox Reba (WorldCup/Team, when they get here) to replace my aging, 7 month old Duke Races on my Handjob :P
Anyways sweet setup! Some of the guys on mtbr.com (Save Some Weight) have been raving about the Fuel 100's apparrently they go like rockets :)
Enjoy

The F100X forks are brilliant!
I went for a long ride on a fork without the auto lockout the other day and you can really notice how effective the terralogic valving is. I.e the bob on the 80mm fork I was riding was irritating. The other great thing is you can run them nice and soft and not worry about a mushy ride when you stand up to put some power down. I can recomend the foxes, still it will be interesting to see how the new Rockshox gear performs.
The Carbon frame is much stiffer than the aluminium version. I test rode a ZR9000 alloy fuel and the difference in the lateral stiffness is very noticeable. The carbon also absorbs trail harshness more effectively. Im sold on carbon as a frame material, particularly with a lifetime warranty.
They guys on mtbr.com are right these bikes are seriuosly quick

this is NOT the price paid that was paid for this bike. However the retail value of a Trek fuel 100 is $10,000 full xtr groupset, and bontager wheels and i think Bontrager xxx-lite bars and stem. this particular bike has better brakes and a wheels so i have no idea how much it cost, i'm also guessing he didnt have to pay full price for the frame and components either....you see it pays to know people
once again, sweet bike pal

Ahh price now your entereing the if I tell you I'd have to kill you end of things! As Bonnet said the Fuel 100 retails for around 10K, but this is a custom build....
What I can say is that this bike is worth every cent, and when it comes to bikes Im a sucker for a sweet ride!
