Hey guys,
For all those who have been to the Malahang Reserve skatepark (http://www.skatelocate.com.au/locations/HeidelbergWestSP.html) in Heldleberg West, they would know its pretty sorry. I'm pretty certain it might be up for a council-funded update sometime soon, possilbe with the inclusion of a set of dirt jumps (don't quote me though), so i ask you all...

What features does a 'skatepark' need to make it more MTB/BMX friendly?

(and before you get the flame cannons started, skateparks are a good place to learn and practise your urban skillz without having to trek all about the CBD, so dont tell me to buy a BMX :).) :

it should have a funbox with one transitioned side, a number of different sized hips, a ledge (higher the 15") and also probably a bowl-type thing

i'd strongly recommend an electric fence around anything they intend to build to keep the locals from trashing it...

i'll agree with that.. how bout a whole track of rhythm doubles surrounding the sk8 park (similar to kensington)???
