What’s the difference between a Norco 125 and 250. Are they both as good as each other at jumping.
thanx :D

One is made from aluminium, the other steel.
One has 24" wheels, the other has 26".
The 250 is more street and dirt jump specific, where as the 125 has street and dirt jump specific angles but can handle trails aswell. The 125 also comes with front and rear brakes where as the 250 only comes with a rear.
Price difference is something like $200 different with the 250 being the more expensive option.

roughly same frame but just different parts. they both should be as good as each other at jumping except the 250 should have better parts so it would last longer.

umm, the 125 doesn't have 24 inch wheels, the 1 hun does. . the 1 hun is more street oriented, the 125 is more race oriented and the 250 is a really nice looking cro mo DJ frame

the 250 is for people who want bmx style bikes. with the same sizing and stuff, and the 250 is 26" adaptable.

which frame would be lighter
125, no bike is "better" at jumping, its mostly the rider.

If you were using the bike for jumping, definately the cromo one, alloy tends to crack and snap off a lot easier especially in DJ/street situations.
So by going on what people have already said cause I don't know what the norco range really, 125 (alloy) light, good for racing, 250 (cromo) bit heavier but much stronger, good for hucking/DJ abuse.

In Australia you will find that bikes have to be sold with front and rear breaks so the 250 does include a front break and the one we have sold came with a 6" hayes mech

What? i've seen plenty of bikes sold with only rear brakes. My BMX only came with rear brakes ( ages ago from Toys R us ).

Well by law bike shops have to sell bikes with front and rear reflectors a bell and front break on the right hand and ya back break on ya left hand, what you do after it leaves the shop is up to you.

Ohhh, this needs its own thread. Hot 4's pride! (or I would have if i had a car :( ) Most V8 drivers i see are asshole bogans, but Newcastle is a pretty bogan town, they always throw shit at me out the windows as im riding

yep and most civic drivers are chicks, or wogs (no racial offence meant) listening to doof-doof crap, that are way too agressive.

Ahh Touche' But a tastefully modded Jap performance car is (in my eyes) always going to beat a modded commonwhore.
Just so i can say i didnt just help highjack this thread, I didnt realy like the 03' 125 a huge deal compared to other DJ bikes ive ridden. Mabs thats just coz it had crappy Psylos'. I saw a 250 today and had a sit on it, it had Dice 24's and one 6" Hayes Hyrdo on the back.

Yeah I realise that it is law to sell bikes with front brakes, but that is not always the case. For instance, the Iron Horse Porter 26 we got in a few weeks back only came with a rear brake, a fella in Melb alot of you guys know, Andy_2430 bought his 250 without a front brake... If a bike doesn't come with one, alot of shops won't put one on there.

i probably have the most experience in this matter as i just got a 250 frame after something bent on my one25 frame. the 250 is chromo and slightly heavier but u cant really tell. the frame angles are different and so it makes the 250 feel a bit plusher, but again u cant tell too much neway. the good thing about the 250 frame is that apparently it can take bigger shox cause of the frame angles, without loosing some of the travel. they basically feel like the same bike but the 250 is better because of the colour :)

I am biased ( as i have 03' version of 125 ) but definately the 03 model is the " pick "between the 2 you are comparing blitzem.
I abuse my 125 trail riding. If i stuck to jumping all the time i'd get a little bored but the fork wouldn't have needed a rebuild. There are lots of us on here that have them. Also it was voted the 03 dirt jumping bike of the year, in a very competitive category. ( mtb action or mtb magazine)
I believe they sold for $1700 when in shops. Less 30 % if they are 4 sale now, if there isn't any additional parts to increase its worth.
Its solid. Seriously for the money its hard to go past.
