looks like fatigue in the heat affected zone
if its only a few months old definately should be
a warranty job, it looks like a manufacturing fault

Damn, I just got the new model, similar frame design but a bit longer.

What sort of riding have you been doing? Trials or more bmx style stuff?

Seems strange, they did a large amount of testing on this frame.

That should be a warranty case IMO - welding the end of the gusset like that (aka "closed throat" as andrew said) is asking for disaster; that's simply a design flaw/defect.

even more good news :D well im taking my bike back to where i bought it today, and its going to be photoed(sp) and photos sent to onza then they decide if its under warrenty or not... if not Echo or Koxx here i come, but if it is warrentied i guess i have to wait for ages to get my new frame....

I think it should be under warrenty for sure.

If you have a look at the Koxx and the Onza T-pro, they are identical design (I think they could be made in the same factory).
They have the exact same wheel base etc etc.

*crosses fingers for you*
and if they don't give you warranty you'll have to cross your fingers in a "west-side" fassion and get gangsta on their ass: pull out your gat and start bustin'

But seriously thats a BIG break/crack/hole.

yeah i talked to the guy at the shop today... and he is really not sure about it, so he is taking photos and calling S.A and then the dealer in S.A is ggonna talk to the onza in the U.K and then i guess we shall see from there...

Looks to me like the crack began where that extra dob of weld is, the one that sticks out where it should just curve around the back of the gusset (which it shouldn't anyway, but you know what I mean)..suprising there is a piece missing though ?!

I saw the frame today, it looks like you hit the frame hard, the frame has a large flat spot where you hit it.

http://img57.photobucket.com/albums/v175/spoolin_12/Onza.jpg :?

no warranty.

monkeymagic
01-07-2004, 08:01 PM
yeah but the no warrenty is due to them not giving more than 3 months and they wouldnt anyway cos of the flatspot...

i am buying sams old brisa on saturday probably... so i will be in to manly on sat morning to get my bike and a new headset to build up sams bike with...
