Just further trials talk. Anyone using a weeny GT frame for trials? Are they any good? Their shape looks great once you get down to their XS fames ie 13" but are they built strong enough? Are they light enough?

The GT Zaskars have been known to take a little bit of a beating when it comes to trials (just look at Hans "no way" Ray)

I really like the Zaskar frames but their standover height is not great for trials and the geo is all wrong.

Also, don't forget that Hans Rey could afford to snap 10 a day... it wasn't like he was paying for them!

Unfortunately, Zigster, any frame other than a dedicated trials frame will end up being a compromise as far as handling goes. Also, asking about whether or not they would be strong enough or light enough is impossible to answer because it MIGHT be both those things FOR YOU (depending on the type of riding you do on it) but another rider might tear it apart first time out.

Cheers

I am sure Hans' Zaskar frames were probably a tad different to those the mere mortal such as you and I could lay our hands on for anything less than our lives.
Thanks for the input, I'll just stick with my liquid for now, good for urban and a bit of trials
