Hey fella's,
I've just made my Acid single speed 32-14 but it seems a little hard for slow speed so i was wondering what gearing u guys are running?
Cheers :)

i use 32-16/ 2-1
the freewheel should have half the amount of pins on the chainring.
this is the most common gearing on SS bikes X-country/Djumping.

i have 32/18 but i'm gonna get a 14, maybe 16 for the rear because there is NO top end in 32/18

I run a 32-19 but that was for slow speed skate park stuff and i had to pedal like a bitch at the dirt jumps. Going to go to a 32-18 soon.
I prefer to run a bit lower gearing as it's easier to spin a bit faster to gain more speed than mash a big gear.
Assuming you're running a 26 inch wheel, go for 32-16 or 32-17

I'm running 38/16 for street with slicks. My local skate park has fairly big hits and 32/16 always brought me up a little short. For dirt its hard work going up hills, also tend to spin the back a bit, but you can totally smoke coming down.

39 to 16 on a 24" wheel, which works pretty well just about everywhere, still got enough up top so you aren't spinning cranks at ridiculous speeds to get anywhere.

I have a 32/16 on a dedicated hub which is perfect for 99% of my riding- at the bmx track or racing i'd move to a 33 or 34T front ring.

I'm running 32/18 at the moment but I think 32/17 or 32/16 might be better.

32 x 15 for me. I've just converted a normal frame and had to keep the rear mech as a tensioner. Bonus is that I can flick the chain down to the granny if I need to ride something really steep.
