I am looking for experienced dirt jumpers to help build a quality track for experienced riders.
Foundations of an excellent jump track have been laid (trust me on this!!) So far there are 5 DJ's, and 1 hip................all made from clay..............the track is so close, yet so far away (Hope to finish in a solid days work :? .)
For the record, there are other riding options (DH / FR / XC) in the general area, so it is a good place for a DJ track!! Plus I am getting pretty crusty these days, I turn 27 next week.........and am planning on having the track finished by the end of weekend (with or without help!!!!).

Well I 'm not experienced at building or riding, but I am experienced at swingin a shovel. Hence I've been and am going up to Red Hill to dig, allowing me to use it for practice. But let me tell yer...........Penant hills is a hell of a lot closer than red hill
So I'm happy to lend a hand and I have the next few weeks off. So time and directions is all I need.

This is just a photo of me yesterday.......I was too busy working on the new section of track to pose for the perfect photo.
The kicker on the table top is nice and steep, so I usually get about twice the hight shown in the photo.
It is a good jump, and has remained unchanged for 2 years.

My efforts on Mon-Thur have payed off. I filled in a really un-even section of track between two of the jumps with crusty clay, and after a good soaking last night it is looking solid.
This means tommorow, I am going to be re-shaping jumps in the morning from about 10.30. (to allow for extra speed, and probably fix the rest of the track up late in afternoon.)
I have other plans for the track, but do not want to start anything major unless it is going to be completed........but we are thinking about putting a creek jump in to improve access (4 meter creek gap).
what time was sunday kicking off
Sunday from 10AM.

Tomorrow I will be re-shaping jumps in the new section, and building a new hip. If it is a sunny day, the new section of track should be rideable by lunch time.

yeh there is a large puddle of clay-water where the first two jumps are. maybe we should think about some drainage idea? My idea is to make the water run into the bushy area between the first two jumps.

Still a bit of work left to complete the new section, I will keep you posted when it is finished...........or you can come help out and it will be finished quicker........lol
New big double (the one that is so close yet so far away) is starting to look good. I am confident that it will be a good jump and just need to find the time and energy to finish it. This might happen on the weekend depending on what else I decide to do. At the moment I am planinng to go help build the jumps at Willougby Paddock tomorrow and maybe go over to Red Hill after that. If I have any spare time and energy I will try and finish the new section of the Penno Jump Track this weekend.
If you have not been there yet, don't bother (unless you are a local and thinking about helping  ), it's nothing special at the moment, however in time it has potential to be an unreal local track.

I finished the new section of track this arvo. I basically downsized the massive double (with 5 meter gap) to a tabletop with a 3 meter gap. I did this for safety reasons because the runout from the landing is about 3 meters wide and goes between trees......
I did about 10 test runs and the jump is sweet. It probably needs to be steeper, but that is easily fixed. I could easily carry the speed thru to the next tabletop with 3 meter gap. I'll be working on the finishing touchs over the next few weeks.......
