Haven't ridden a hardtail for a while, been one of those Slack-Arsed Downhillers!..... not that it's a bad thing. Scored my old Da Bomb frame from Al...... i'm stoked. I love that frame!

Just had to show you.. http://www.farkin.net/forums/album_thumbnail.php?pic_id=9232 (http://www.farkin.net/forums/album_pic.php?pic_id=9232)

Beeeeaudyful bike pushi dude! How the mono minis going? Are they good for the occasional DH?
Why does everyone insist on having thier hydro lines rubbing on thier fork stanchions?

Look at the pic... it's not about Glam parts, just what feels good to me..Exept the hubs, i like the wank factor of hope bulbs.... Think they're my favourite bit at the mom..

The Hose isn't touching, just the angle of the pic...

Love the Mono's, wouldn't use one on the front of a heavy bike, but for a hardtail they rock!!

How do you reckon they rate compared to the old minis? There is a front set that i want to use for street/trials at my lbs. Whats the price diff?

Yeah... 14.5 and the seat angle on XLR8s can be a bitch, if u land on your nuts enough, you can bend the rails to fit...... you just walk funny for a while..

Single ring and olive is a stock color, just not many people buy that color, but it always looks alot better built up.

The frame's not my cup of tea but hey, the colour looks lovely and understated. Nice work petri...

What sort of seat are you using, I like the look of it. Oh and i like the wheels and brakes and fork too, very nice ride.

Should be single speed but you must like hills or something funny like that :)

Cheers, I love the color. I'm gettin a Dealer frame soon, might paint it orange. Need a bright bike soon.

The seat is an old Axiom i stole off a Norco 250 ages ago..., Cranks and Bars, stem are cheap!......and the brakes and wheels, mmm....... Young Jordy Turner Boy would be seething in that glam! Quote:looks like glam parts if you ask me !

yeah xlr8 pride!
i have the camo, and it looks bloody beautiful, but i gotta say, the olive is nice (yes the black is nice too  ), my seat creaks alot when i sit on it, and it wont go on a good angle, it always sticks back but ah well, i might try a different seat when i get over how soft my avanti one is....
what forks also?im getting new ones soon, so im checking out what everyone runs

chainstays are to long :P

but a very nice bike nonetheless. Gotta say i could really go for your front disc , apart form the fact that it would probably tear my wheel apart...

Put a bit of grease in the guts of your seat. between the rails and also between any part pressed together. If it still creaks, check the frame for cracking around the seattube area.....

Rode a pair of Marzocchi z150's the other day, some might consider them a bit long for a hardtail but they felt awesome. Shermans are a great jumping fork, light and stiff, just don't have the dampening that a Marzocchi has..

Depending what seatpost, if it's a 2 piece bonded design, it could be the head/post interface that creaks. Especially with a whacked angle like the XLR8's.
