Yeah, well not much to say, this is my 04 Giant Yukon...As stock as you can get except for the bar ends. Might upgrade the forks eventually along with the crank set/BB and shifters.

You can disregard the other random stuff I have in my room :?

Hey dude nice Yukon, forks would probably be the best upgrade in my veiw....
Have a talk to Mommers (check out his Yukon), he has done his up really well, great choice of parts you could maybe get an idea of how you want yours?
a mate i met last sunday had the same bike, and he upgraded his forks to rock shox duke race, from what i can remember,

Yeah, just seen Mommers on his gallery...not too bad...The Manitou Six that he has were on the 03 model I think (mate has that model).
I kinda perfer my orange over the black though...people go "ohhh ahhhh, metalic orange" as I ride past :D

Was just talking to my mate, he saw a Yukon, same colour as mine with "Forks going upto the bars" (as he put it). So I am guessing Dual Crown of some sort...That would be kinda stupid, putting all that extra force on a frame that is designed only for single crown forks.
A nice pair of Duke's or Fox would be nice.

Id see how much travel the bike can hold before you change the fork you wouldnt want to snap the head tube!!
Nice bike tho have fun riding, if your going to make any change make it the fork unless you have totally broken something!

the yukon frame is the same as the iguana which is the same as the XtC bikes only with slightly different tubing. this would mean that upgrading the parts as you go is a great idea as you have an excellent frame. i nice set of blacks, fox floats or dukes would go supremely well. it is well worth holiding onto that frame as an XC bike and if you wanted to get into DH/DJ then get a bike for that later on.

That's a fairly big comparison to make. I doubt it has much similarity with the XtC bikes besides the stickers on the downtube. Spending too much money on an entry-level bike is a good way to waste alot of resources.

How much travel does ur RST's have? if they ( physically) have 100 then thats fine for a fork upgrade as there are heaps of good forks at 100mm.

Nice bike mate. My lbs has those as their hire bikes and they cop stupid amounts of punishment. Never seen a problem on thier frames, probably cause they share the same design with thier big bros the xtc's. I reckon your safe putting pretty nice gear on there without 'wasting' your moola. I hope it serves you well and lasts forever...

:D i started on a 2003 Yukon, bloody awesome entry level bikes for the price. Seriously cant go wrong. Think i'll do a little work on it and return it to its road riding stage again.
I had the black coloured frame, but i've gotta admit that orange is quite appealing to the eye. Enjoy it mate, i know i enjoyed mine :D
