How should i setup my rear shock for stair gaps? also, what kind of pressure should i run in my tyres?

I'm no expert... but for urban hack riding I've been running fairly high tyre pressure, and slow rebound combined with a spring weight much higher than I need. But hopefully someone will give a much more informed opinion on setup.

You would want a slower rebound for the landing so it doesnt buck you off yet fast enough to keep up with the repeated hit's from the stairs. So i would find a setting around 'Not to fast, not to slow'

Tire pressure- well on my hardtail i always run between 30-40 for street with no problems of pinch flats(2.3 WTB Motoraptors) So for a dually i would say you could get away with the same no drama's.

Hope it made sense

I'd say leave it as is apart from decent tire pressure 40psi+. I find changing the shock setting change the way i have to bunny-hop/control the bik, so doing dramatic changes just for the 'super-stair-gapper-huuuuck' might be a bad idea. Just a thought.

Slowing the rebound and firming up the compression is usual procedure for drops. Just try it out i s'pose.

Set it up stiff, slow compression (if you have that adjustment) and fast rebound. Riding down stairs at high speed causes the shock to move extremely fast, and if the rebound isn't fast enough it will pack up and *could*, in very extreme cases, damage the shock when you g-out at the bottom of the stairset.

Tyres = hard, 50psi or more IMO.
